Dr. Mengtian REN is an Assistant Professor at the School of Chemistry, Tiangong University, Tianjin, China, where he has been employed since July 2023. His research primarily focuses on the mechanistic understanding of DNA oxidative damage andWrepair, DNA–protein crosslink formation, and the cGAS-STING immune signaling pathway. Dr. REN has a strong academic foundation, earning his Bachelor of Science in Applied Chemistry from Northeastern University, followed by a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Nankai University, Tianjin. He also pursued a joint Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Gene Center in Munich, Germany. Dr. REN has made significant contributions to understanding DNA damage repair processes, especially in relation to histones and nucleosomes.
