Experience

Prof. Azzam began her career as an agricultural engineer at the Nuclear Research Center of the Atomic Energy Authority, where she gained expertise in radiation-based mutation breeding, before joining the Agricultural Research Center and advancing from assistant researcher to chief researcher and professor. As Head of the Cell Research Department at the Field Crops Research Institute, she led a period of scientific innovation, organizational leadership, and national collaboration, supervising numerous training programs and guiding young scientists while integrating molecular biology with applied crop breeding.
